I am a Chicago-born Appalachian woman of mountain streams and hidden hollers. I raise chickens and little boys, which I do with passion and a lack of skill. I love hard, I cry hard, but I laugh even harder. My scars are plentiful, and I am proud of every one of them - especially those that embellish my heart.
